527 Students Take Part as UIN Jakarta Faculty of Medicine Holds Local Progress Test

Building C, FK UIN Online News - The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Local Progress Test to strengthen the academic and clinical competencies of its medical students on Saturday (October 10, 2026). The test was conducted in Building C as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), featuring questions on medical science, clinical stability, research, and medical law.

Ghina Mutiara Abas, S.Pd., M.Biomed., the person in charge of the Local Progress Test, explained that the test is an informative examination designed to evaluate students’ cognitive abilities and is held routinely once a year.

“The test is also meant to evaluate students’ cognitive abilities and clinical reasoning, and it is conducted periodically. At FK UIN, the Local Progress Test is held once a year. As for the number of participants, about 527 students took part in today’s test,” she said.

Ghina further explained that the exam covers foundational medical science, clinical stability, research, and medical law, tailored to train the academic abilities of UIN Jakarta medical students.

“The questions serve not only to evaluate the institution itself but also to evaluate the students. So, year after year, students’ results should improve as they advance to higher levels,” she said.

She added that the test questions were developed in collaboration with the assessment team at the Medical Education Unit, through a process of question selection and re-checking. “We spent about a month preparing, selecting, and reviewing the questions,” she said.

The Local Progress Test is expected to help test, evaluate, and strengthen students’ abilities as future doctors.
