The birth of the medical education study program within the State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) in Indonesia began with the establishment of FK UIN Syahid Jakarta in 2005 as the first medical study program among PTKINs in Indonesia, which aims, among other things, to provide affirmation to students as a component of society. which has strategic and historical value for the Indonesian nation to become a Muslim doctor who will provide benefits to society.
Nearly two decades old, FK UlN Syahid Jakarta is always trying to develop itself into a center for quality medical education and research and gain national and international reputation and recognition by integrating medical and Islamic sciences, as is the value of FK UIN Syahid Jakarta: IQRA (Integrative Qualified Research in Academic Culture).
FK UIN Syahid Jakarta has graduated more than 800 medical alumni who can compete globally by prioritizing the motto of UIN Syahid Jakarta, namely: Knowledge, Piety, and Integrity. The alumni of FK UIN Syahid Jakarta doctors are spread and have devoted their knowledge throughout Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke. Especially dozens of alumni who graduated from the Indonesian Ministry of Religion's Santri Achievement Scholarship Program (PBSB) doctors who returned to their Islamic boarding school environment and community to provide health services to the community. Likewise, alumni doctors from international students have served in Palestine, Thailand and Malaysia.
Efforts to maintain the quality of the process and graduates at national and international levels continue to be improved by achieving A Accreditation from LAMPTKES and participating in ASIIN international accreditation. The challenges of the globalization era are faced through international cooperation with Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Japan as well as the business and industrial world. International student mobility is also implemented with student exchange and elective modules with Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan. The teaching and learning processes and activities at FK UIN Syahid Jakarta have also been supported by the implementation of an e-learning management system and accessibility of international scientific electronic journals.
The transformation of medical education at FK UIN Syahid Jakarta is also trying to adapt to the demands of increasing professionalism and competence in the medical world by developing a Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine as well as a Masters in Biomedicine.
The existence of a higher education website is a necessity and fundamental thing in today's digital era, therefore the FK UIN Syahid Jakarta website seeks to present various academic and non-academic information that can be useful for all parties.
