M.K. Tadjudin Auditorium, FK Online News – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially inaugurated 30 new doctors through the 57th Doctoral Oath Ceremony held at the M.K. Tadjudin Auditorium on Thursday (30/7/2026). The event marked the readiness of the graduates to enter the medical profession while upholding integrity, humanitarian values, and Islamic principles in their service to society.

The solemn ceremony was attended by university and faculty leaders. Present were Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Rector IV for Institutional Development and Cooperation Prof. Din Wahid, M.A., Ph.D., and Dean of FK UIN Jakarta Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT(K), FICS. Representatives from UIN Jakarta Hospital, Fatmawati General Hospital, the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) South Tangerang Branch, faculty members, and the families of the newly appointed doctors were also in attendance.

In his address, Vice Rector Prof. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie emphasized that becoming a Muslim doctor is not only measured by clinical competence but also by moral responsibility and the implementation of Islamic values.

“Being a Muslim doctor today means not only becoming a medical professional but also becoming a bearer of Islamic values. You are not only here to heal, but also to bring hope,” said Prof. Tholabi.

Quoting the perspective of Imam Ar-Ruhawi, he advised the graduates to view the medical profession as a genuine spiritual commitment. “Become doctors who are respected not only because of their expertise, but also because of their manners and admired because of their character,” he added.

The representative of the President Director of Fatmawati General Hospital, who also serves as the Manager of the Education and Training Working Team at Fatmawati General Hospital, Dr. Dewi Apriyantini, SKM., MARS., reminded the newly graduated doctors to make patient safety their highest priority.

“Patient safety is non-negotiable. That is what must be instilled,” she stated.

Furthermore, she encouraged the graduates not to pursue their profession with a materialistic mindset. “Never feel that you have to recover your educational investment, but remain committed to the Hippocratic Oath that we have taken,” she said.

Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT(K), FICS, encouraged the new doctors to maintain pride in their alma mater, which had guided and educated them throughout their journey. He expressed hope that FK UIN graduates would one day return and contribute to the continued development of the faculty.

“How do we make you proud of your alma mater? For us as educators, it would be a failure if you did not want to return and contribute to your alma mater,” said Dr. Zaki. He also advised the graduates to continuously improve their knowledge and transform their profession into a form of service and charity for the wider community.

The main ceremony began with the recitation of the Doctoral Oath led directly by the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, followed by the announcement of the Graduation Decree by Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs Dr. dr. Fika Ekayanti, DKK., M.Med.Ed., MARS. The signing of the Doctoral Oath document was symbolically represented by the newly appointed doctors, dr. Maslim Syahruddin and dr. Reisya Annisa.

On the same occasion, FK UIN Jakarta also presented Student Achievement Awards to 21 students of the Medical Professional Study Program who had achieved outstanding accomplishments in both academic and non-academic fields. The highest academic achievement in this cohort was obtained by dr. Fauzia Ilman Naqiya, who achieved a GPA of 3.83.

Vice Chairman I of the IDI South Tangerang Branch, dr. Agus Arya Wardhana, highlighted the importance of the oath as an ethical foundation. “This oath is not merely a ceremonial event, but a moral compass that will guide every step of your service in the future,” he advised.

Representing the newly graduated doctors, dr. Fauzia Ilman Naqiya reflected on the challenges of medical education, which began during the Covid-19 pandemic. “We learned not only from the cognitive aspect, but also through physical and mental development. Father and Mother, please allow us to dedicate this achievement to you,” she said emotionally.

Representing the families of the graduates, Ust. Muhammad Yunus, MM. (parent of dr. Fathiyah Zahra Muhammad), also advised the new doctors to uphold the responsibility that comes with their professional title. “Make the knowledge you possess a path to provide great benefits to others,” he said.

The 57th Doctoral Oath Ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Indonesian Muslim Doctors Alumni Association of UIN Jakarta (IDOMAIN) pins to representatives of the new doctors, followed by the presentation of commemorative gifts. Through this inauguration, FK UIN Jakarta remains optimistic that its graduates will grow into excellent and ethical doctors who continue to embody Islamic values wherever they serve.
