Faculty of Medicine, UIN News Online — In anticipation of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day on August 17, the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta celebrated the occasion by holding a series of Independence Day festivities under the theme “Working to Completion for a Golden Indonesia” (Kerja Tuntas untuk Indonesia Emas), featuring eight competitions on Friday (August 14, 2026).

The event was attended by Vice Dean for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. dr. Erike Anggraini Suwarsono, M.Pd., Sp.M.K., along with the event’s organizing committee chair, Muhammad Yasin, who led the Independence Day celebration.

Vice Dean for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. dr. Erike Anggraini Suwarsono, said that the celebration held to commemorate Indonesia’s Independence Day served as an opportunity to strengthen ties among the academic community while honoring the struggles and sacrifices of Indonesia’s heroes.

Meanwhile, Chair of the Independence Day Celebration Committee, Muhammad Yasin, explained that the event was organized to strengthen relationships among members of the FK UIN Jakarta academic community, while also encouraging meaningful contributions and supporting the vision of a Golden Indonesia.

“We hope that through this celebration and the competitions we have organized, this event can strengthen relationships among the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine, while also encouraging real contributions toward achieving a Golden Indonesia,” he said.

Furthermore, Yasin explained that the Independence Day festivities featured various competitions designed to create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. “The competitions for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Faculty of Medicine include a partner ice cream-eating competition, an eggplant ball-dribbling competition, a thread-and-needle challenge, a marble race, a straw relay, a water-transfer competition, a cracker-eating competition, a sarong relay, and several others,” he concluded.
