Celebrating the 21st Anniversary, FK UIN Jakarta Holds Dean’s Cup Badminton to Promote Community Well-Being

Medical Faculty Sports Hall (SOR), FK Online News – In commemoration of its 21st Anniversary (Dies Natalis), the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized the Dean’s Cup Badminton Competition to promote the physical and mental well-being of its academic community. The event was held at the SOR FK UIN Jakarta on Monday (April 27, 2026).
The event was attended by the Special Staff to the Minister of Religious Affairs and Professor of Philology at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Oman Fathurrahman, M.Hum.; the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT., FICS; the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Drg. Laifa Annisa Hendarmin, Ph.D.; the Chair of the FK UIN Jakarta Student Senate, Ardika Rizki Saputra; the President of DEMA FK UIN Jakarta, Mutia Hanifa Ariyanti; the Chief Organizer, Gama Alif Rizky; as well as faculty members and participants.
Opening the event series, the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT., FICS, stated that the faculty plans to introduce other competitions in the future, such as tug-of-war. He also expressed hope that the 21 years of FK UIN Jakarta’s establishment would bring meaningful progress.
“God willing, the 21 years of FK UIN Jakarta’s existence will continue to bring positive change in our efforts to promote national health—starting by improving the well-being of our own academic community through activities that nurture not only our physical health but also our mental and spiritual well-being,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Drg. Laifa Annisa Hendarmin, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of the Dean’s Cup Badminton Competition. “We believe that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind. In addition, sports help build sportsmanship and teamwork,” she stated.
She also explained the choice of badminton as the featured sport in the competition. “Badminton is one of the most popular sports in Indonesia, and we have adequate facilities to host such a competition. This event also serves as a platform to strengthen bonds among students, lecturers, and academic staff,” she added.
The Dean’s Cup Badminton Competition features men’s and women’s doubles categories, with a total prize of IDR 700,000 and medals. The competition runs from April 27 to May 1, 2026, and is enlivened by participants ranging from academic staff and lecturers to students.
