Cisarua, January 26 2024. Deputy Dean II for General Administration and Deputy Dean 3 for Student Affairs & Cooperation, together with the Preparation Team for the Pulmonology & Respiratory Medicine Specialist Education Study Program FKUIN Jakarta / RSPG Cisarua, were received directly by the Main Director of RSPG Cisarua and staff. This meeting was intended to prepare educational infrastructure in the RSPG Cisarua Bogor environment ahead of the Field Evaluation by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Culture, Research, and Technology after the document evaluation stage.

It is hoped that in the 2024/2025 Academic Year, FKUIN Jakarta and RSPG Cisarua can start accepting the Pulmonology & Respiratory Medicine Specialist Doctor Education Program to be able to meet the need for lung specialist doctors for the Indonesian people according to government programs.

The Indonesian Lung Doctors Association (PDPI) states that with Indonesia's population of more than 250 million people, ideally, Indonesia has 2,500 lung specialist doctors or a 1:1.000 population ratio. However, now there are only 1.206 doctors spread across 29 PDPI branches in the country. (Tribun News 8/9/2020).
