Auditorium MK Tadjudin, FK News Online – In line with the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta’s vision of becoming an internationally reputable medical school, The Meeting on Developing an AI-Adaptive Assessment and Learning System for Indonesian Medical Students was held in collaboration with the Korean Association of Internal Medicine (KAIM), focusing on the official certification examination, the Examination of the Board of Internal Medicine, Friday (April 9, 2026).

The meeting was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT., FICS; Vice Dean for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. dr. Erike Anggraini Suwarsono, M.Pd., Sp.M.K.; Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, drg. Laifa Annisa Hendarmin, Ph.D.; Professor of Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Dr. Husni Teja Sukmana, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.; and members of the FK UIN Jakarta academic staff.

Representatives from KAIM were also present, including Advisory Board Members Do Jin Kim and Jae Hyuk Do; Executive Director of the Examination Board Ho Young Kim; Cheon Woong Choi, Director of KAIM; Jung Eun Park, Manager of KAIM; Mi Gyung Lee, Assistant Manager of KAIM; Hye Won Kim; Sung Phil Hong, CEO of M2 Community; Youn Sang Cho, CEO of M2PI; Mr. Park Kinam; and other members of their respective teams.

In his remarks, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, emphasized FK UIN Jakarta’s commitment to keeping pace with technological developments, including contributing to the development of AI-based learning methods.

“We are committed to embracing this transformation; our vision is medical excellence, and one of our initiatives involves collaborating with South Korea through this event,” he explained.

Professor of Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Dr. Husni Teja Sukmana, added that KAIM had previously collaborated with the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Jakarta. He expressed his optimism that the Faculty of Medicine also has the capacity to integrate artificial intelligence and technology to support medical education.

“I'm very happy, KAIM touches again, not only in FST, but in collaboration with other faculties. I think this is good collaboration. We have there university, about technology or Islamic theology. Today we can discuss AI solutions, each other,” he said.

The collaboration and AI product introduction session was opened by Mr. Lee Seung Yong, who presented the history of the Examination of the Board of Internal Medicine. The organization was established on December 15, 1945, before changing its name to the Korean Association of Internal Medicine on August 15, 1948. The first certification examination was held on May 24, 1960, followed by the establishment of the certification system in 1966.

Representing KAIM, Mrs. Park Kinam then presented “Presentation of Use Cases in South Korea,” providing insights into the implementation and application of AI-adaptive assessment and learning systems for medical students in Indonesia.

Furthermore, the proposed system is expected to support the development of an AI-based learning ecosystem designed to facilitate automated assessment and adaptive learning for medical students. The system will utilize AI to process question banks, analyze students’ abilities, and provide personalized learning recommendations based on their individual needs, while maintaining the involvement of professors in question validation and ensuring data security.
