FK UIN Jakarta Inaugurates New Facilities to Support a Healthiedr and More Comfortable Learning Environment
Medicorner, FK UIN Jakarta, FK Online News – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially inaugurated several new facilities within the faculty as part of its commitment to creating a more comfortable, healthy, and supportive learning environment for the academic community. The inauguration took place at Medicorner FK UIN Jakarta on Tuesday (June 2, 2026).
The event was attended by the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid., Sp.OT., FICS; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. dr. Fika Ekayanti, M.Med.Ed.; Vice Dean for General Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. dr. Erike Anggraini Suwarsono, M.Pd., Sp.MK.; and Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Alumni, drg. Laifa Annisa Hendarmin, Ph.D. Also present was Johan Aristya Lesmana, M.Si., Han., Deputy Head of Green Campus, representing the Head of the Green Campus Center of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Hendrawati.
The inauguration reflects FK UIN Jakarta’s commitment to providing a campus environment that not only excels academically but also promotes the health, comfort, and well-being of its academic community.
In his remarks, Dean Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki explained that the facility upgrades were designed to create a fresher atmosphere and reduce feelings of monotony within the campus environment.
“The purpose of upgrading these facilities is to ensure that members of our academic community do not feel bored and can experience a renewed atmosphere while carrying out their daily activities on campus,” he said.
According to him, the development of campus facilities is an important long-term investment in education. A quality campus is not only measured by its academic achievements but also by its ability to provide an environment that effectively supports the learning process.
“We aim to build a healthy campus. Investment in a campus should not focus solely on academic excellence but also on facilities that support a smooth, comfortable, and healthy learning experience,” he added.
On the occasion, the Dean also encouraged all members of the academic community to take collective responsibility for maintaining the facilities. He welcomed suggestions and ideas from students and staff for future campus development initiatives.
“The facilities that have been provided must be maintained together. Any ideas or proposals for future improvements will certainly be valuable input for the faculty,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Johan Aristya Lesmana, Deputy Head of Green Campus UIN Jakarta, emphasized that the development of campus facilities aligns with the university’s ongoing Green Campus program.
He explained that the Green Campus concept extends beyond environmental greening and includes the sustainable management of natural resources. One of the concepts introduced is Khalifa, which promotes the stewardship of flora and fauna as part of humanity’s responsibility to protect the environment.
In addition, Johan introduced the concept of Green Hijrah, which encourages behavioral changes toward a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, including reducing the use of single-use plastics and adopting more sustainable materials.
“Green Hijrah encourages us to gradually shift away from plastic and toward more environmentally friendly materials. Small changes made collectively can have a significant impact on the campus environment,” he explained.
Through the inauguration of these new facilities, FK UIN Jakarta hopes to continue fostering a healthy, comfortable, and sustainable learning environment. This initiative also forms part of the faculty’s broader efforts to support the realization of a green campus that not only excels in medical education but also demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and the quality of life of its academic community.
