Hosting the National OSCE for UKMPDPD, 9 FK UIN Jakarta Students Take the National Competency Examination
Faculty of Medicine Building, FK Online News – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) as part of the National Competency Examination for Medical Profession Students (UKMPDPD) for students of the Medical Professional Education Study Program on Saturday (February 28, 2026).
A total of nine participants took part in the OSCE UKMPDPD, which serves as a final stage in evaluating clinical competence before students are officially awarded the title of medical doctor.
The OSCE is a station-based examination method designed to assess students’ clinical skills objectively and systematically. During the examination, participants are tested through various clinical scenarios that reflect real-life medical practice, including history taking, physical examination, doctor–patient communication, diagnosis establishment, and case management.
Head of the Medical Professional Education Study Program at FK UIN Jakarta, Dr. Risahmawati, Ph.D., explained that the OSCE aims to comprehensively measure students’ competency achievements before they enter professional medical practice.
“The OSCE directly and systematically evaluates students’ clinical skills. Its purpose is to determine the extent to which medical professional students have achieved competencies in accordance with national standards,” she stated.
She further emphasized that the examination assesses not only knowledge but also technical skills and professional attitudes, which form the essential foundation of healthcare services.
In her message to the participants, Dr. Risahmawati encouraged students to remain confident and perform at their best.
“Do your best. God willing, with your best effort, you will pass with good results. We hope everyone passes in one attempt,” she conveyed.
The implementation of the OSCE UKMPDPD is a crucial step in ensuring that graduates of the Medical Professional Education Study Program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta meet national clinical competency standards, uphold professionalism, and are fully prepared to provide quality healthcare services to the community.
