Indonesian Health Council Team Reviews FK UIN Jakarta, Highlights Readiness of CBT and OSCE Centers

Faculty Room, FK Online News – As part of a review process, a team from the Indonesian Health Council, the Kolegium Kesehatan Indonesia (KKI), and the Disciplinary Board visited the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The visit took place in the Faculty Room on the 5th floor of the Medical Building on Tuesday (April 21, 2025). The faculty welcomed the visit as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and enhance the quality of medical education.

The session was attended by the Chair of KKI, Supriyanto Dharmoredjo, along with the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, Achmad Zaki, and faculty members.

The discussion focused on the readiness of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) Center as key facilities supporting competency assessments for healthcare students at FK UIN Jakarta. Observations indicated significant improvements in CBT facilities, with the faculty now equipped with 198 all-in-one computers powered by i7 processors, enabling optimal implementation of various professional examinations.

Highlighting the importance of well-equipped facilities, Supriyanto Dharmoredjo delivered a message to FK UIN Jakarta students. He emphasized that while knowledge is essential, practical skills and empathy are equally important in medical practice.

“You will face real patients who are truly ill. Therefore, empathy is essential, skills must be maintained, and communication is extremely important,” he stated.

He further stressed that strong communication skills are crucial for doctors. “Be a communicative doctor—not one who only focuses on financial gain, but one who can effectively convey medical analysis to patients and their families,” he added.

In addition, the meeting discussed plans for further visitations aimed at optimizing examination facilities, as well as opportunities to develop infrastructure through international grant programs. These efforts are expected to further enhance educational quality and competency standards for healthcare graduates.
