Selasa, 17 Oktober 2023. Student success in their studies is not solely based on their academic abilities alone, but many factors can influence it. Academic Advisor (PA) lecturers are one of the factors that can help students solve academic and non-academic problems. An academic advisor is a lecturer who is given the task and authority by the head of the faculty to provide guidance and direction to students in pursuing their studies so that they can finish on time and get the best grades possible.

Faculty leadership appoints lecturers who serve as PAs to guide several students. Lecturers have a particular task to help students recognize their academic abilities, prepare themselves to participate in ongoing modules, and motivate students to find solutions to their problems. To implement these duties, lecturers who have the insight and skills are needed as good academic advisor lecturers. In his remarks, the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta, Dr. Dr. Achmad Zaki, M.Epid, Sp.OT said, "This is the time for us to strengthen the positioning of PA lecturers and counseling units at FK UIN Jakarta. In the future, we will have an early warning so that preventive action can be taken."

Deputy Dean I initiated the provision of material, Dr. dr. Fika Ekayanti, M.Med.Edu, regarding current and future PA lecturers. Next, Dr. Tubagus Ferdi, Sp.A, Vice Dean III of FK Trisakti, provided material regarding the role duties of P lecturers and sharing experiences at the home institution. In his presentation, Doctor Ferdi said, "Being a PA lecturer is our mandate as lecturers. Therefore, we need to be proactive.” To conclude the final material, Mrs. Sophie Dwiyanti, S.Psi, Psi, head of the counseling and P3KS unit, provided an understanding of counseling services at FK UIN Jakarta.
