Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UIN Jakarta, Deputy Dean 2 for General Administration, and Deputy Dean 3 for Student Affairs & Cooperation met with Prof. Onishi from The International Research Center for Medical Education, Graduate School of Medicine Tokyo University.

This meeting aims to continue the collaboration in sending FK UIN Jakarta teaching staff to the Tokyo Uni Medical Education master's and doctoral program, which previously took place but has been on hiatus for about ten years since sending several FK UIN teaching staff to study Medical Education at Tokyo Uni. Another aim is to have a direct discussion and invitation to Onishi Sensei to be able to take part in the inbound visiting professor program to UIN Jakarta regarding the plan for evaluation and significant renewal of the 5-year UIN FK curriculum in 2024 as one of the dean's priority programs, where the last major revision was in 2019.

It was agreed that the preparation process for sending staff to the Medical Education master's program in FY 2024/25 would go through several selection stages. Tokyo University is one of the oldest universities and among the top-ranked universities in Japan (est. 1877), and is ranked 28th in the QS World University Rankings 2024.
